The 2017 Fig Twig Market is quickly approaching!! This year's dates are November 3rd and 4th. We are now accepting applications for 2017 year. Applications must be postmarked by August 1, 2017. Our Application Process
The vision of the Fig Twig Market is to create a unique shopping experience for our customers that focuses on home decor, handmade, and vintage items displayed to create an atmosphere that is exciting, creative, and on-trend. We strive to select vendors whose products best suit the feel of the market.
Since its beginning in 2012, The Fig Twig Market has grown from 25 vendors to over 55 and moved to a larger venue. In 2015, we added a second building to accommodate the large influx of shoppers. Each year, we receive far more applications than we have spaces, and for that reason we must have a juried process of vendor selection. The Fig Twig Market committee often receives questions regarding the application process. We truly value each person who applies to our market, both return and new vendor applicants, so we have listed below some of the key factors in our selection process.
Applications: Applications must be complete and postmarked by application deadline. All applications from returning and new vendors are reviewed together by the committee. For previous vendors: booth design and display(or lack of) is a factor in the selection process. Please read the entire application thoroughly and be sure that your submitted photos are clear and accurately reflect your product and booth description.
Categories: Applications are divided into categories based on type of product. We limit the number of vendors in each category in order to retain a diverse shopping environment. Some of the main categories are: Home Decor, Furniture, Signs, Antiques/Vintage, Jewelry, Pottery, Textiles, Food, etc. Please do not worry if your product does not fit specifically into one of these categories or contains a mix of items that would fit into more than one category. We are always looking for vendors who are going to bring something fresh and new to the market!
Wait List: There will be a wait list this year in the event of a vendor cancellation. Cancellations happen right after the selection and notification process right up until the day before the event. If your application has not been selected for the market, but has be placed on the waiting list, we will notify you of your placement so that you can be prepared in the event that there is a cancellation.
Keep It Fresh: 2017 will be the 6th year for The Fig Twig Market, and we are looking forward to mixing things up a bit with booth placement and the addition of new vendors! If you are a returning vendor, we hope that you will be “Keeping it Fresh” by letting us know what will be new about your product line and/or booth design. We love and appreciate our past vendors and our returning shoppers and we want to ensure that our market is optimal for not only retaining the interest in people who come to Fig Twig Market every year, but also for attracting new clientele that will be telling their friends and returning to Fig Twig for years to come!
